Standard Terms and Conditions of Service
Bookings and Confirmations
1. We are not an on-demand or e-hailing taxi service – booking of services are essential and required.
2. Our shuttle services operate 24/7/365 days of the year and bookings are required a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
3. All bookings are subject to availability.
4. We will always endeavour to accommodate late bookings / special requests as best we can, but all such bookings are also subject to availability.
5. Bookings via our website can be made 24/7/365 along with online payment and confirmation.
6. Bookings via email (info@asct.co.za) or phone (+27 87 195 1050) can be made during day time hours (6am - 6pm) Monday to Sunday.
7. Any after-hours bookings via email (info@asct.co.za) or phone (+27 87 195 1050) may only be dealt with the following day.
8. NB: any changes to your itinerary or route, or any new / extra bookings must be made with Airport Shuttle and not directly with the driver.
9. NB: no bookings, changes or cancellations will be accepted via SMS, WhatsApp or any other social media platform. The only channels of communication accepted and acknowledged in this regard will be via email (info@asct.co.za) or phone (+27 87 195 1050).
10. You will receive confirmation of your booking within 12 hours from the time of booking via email to the email address provided upon booking or to your email address we have on record in our secure database.
Rates
11. Our base rates are based on distance travelled per vehicle type.
12. Any pick-up before 6am or after 6pm attracts an additional after-hours flat rate surcharge on top of the normal rates.
13. All transfers are door-to-door – a surcharge may be levied per additional stop requested by the customer.
14. All prices exclude any parking related costs that might occur should a client request a driver to wait and such costs will be charged additionally.
15. Waiting time is not charged where the circumstances are deemed outside of the customer’s control (e.g. delayed flight, traffic etc.). Waiting time will however be charged per hour or part thereof where the circumstances are deemed within the customer’s control (e.g. overslept, another drink at the bar etc.).
16. For children under the age of 3 years a car seat is mandatory. Airport Shuttle offers car seats for children and an additional fee per car seat may be levied. Please indicate this when making your reservation.
17. Rates are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).
18. Prices are subject to change without notice.
Payments
19. For cash customers:
• You will receive an invoice and/or receipt via email to the email address we have on record in our secure database or to the email address provided upon booking.
• We accept the following methods of payment:
- cash to driver (limited to R600 per booking): due in full upon drop-off.
- direct bank transfer (EFT): due in full 24 hours prior to pick-up.
- visa / master card: via secure online payment link.
• Please clearly indicate your method of payment upon booking.
20. For customers on account:
• You will receive an invoice via email to the email address we have on record in our secure database.
• A monthly statement of all invoices due will be provided on the 1st of the following month via email to your email address we have on record in our secure database.
• Full payment of all invoices due as per statement is due strictly 7 days from statement date.
• Interest may be levied on all overdue invoices and payments
21. We regret that we don’t accept cheque payments.
22. Bank charges on international bank transfers are strictly for the customer’s account.
23. We reserve the right to take immediate legal action should payment not be received timeously.
Cancellations and Refunds
24. We have a strict 24 hour cancellation period policy and for any booking not cancelled via email or phone 24 hours before the reserved time, the full booking fee will be charged.
25. We reserve the right to take immediate legal action should payment not be received.
26. Refunds will only be paid as follows:
• Cancellations 0–24 hours prior to departure – no refund will be paid.
• Cancellations 24–48 hours prior to departure – 50% refund will be paid.
• 48 hours or more prior to departure – a full refund will be paid.

29. All changes on bookings are subject to availability.
No-shows and Punctuality
30. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that sufficient time is allowed to arrive at their destination.
31. In the case of a no-show, the full booking fee will be charged, and we reserve the right to take immediate legal action should payment not be received.
32. The driver will depart the collection point 15 minutes after the scheduled collection time, except in the case of airport collections where we are aware of the time taken to clear customs and/or collect luggage, and when flights are delayed. Please be considerate of the fact that our drivers are working on a fixed schedule, and delays will affect other paying customers.
33. You hereby acknowledge that if (and only if) our schedule allows, the driver will wait longer than 15 minutes after the scheduled collection time - you will be charged a fee per hour or part thereof for such waiting time.
34. We request that you contact us telephonically in case of any changes in flight or travel plans (diverted, cancelled or indefinitely delayed flights or other changes in travel plans). Please keep our emergency contact number at hand (+27 76 858 4876).
35. If a flight is delayed, we will endeavour to monitor the situation and accommodate the change, as we are dependent on information provided to us by the Airport Company of South Africa (ACSA). However, we will not be held liable for delays caused should ACSA provide us with erroneous information.
36. Unforeseen circumstances may delay our service. We request that clients wait 15 minutes after the scheduled collection time before making alternative arrangements. If our driver is late for your collection by more than 15 minutes, you will not be charged for the transfer.
37. NB: please ensure that we have a mobile number of the passenger(s) so that we can liaise with them should we be unexpectedly delayed.
38. As much as we pride ourselves on our reliability and punctuality, unforeseen circumstances may delay or cancel our service without prior notice. Airport Shuttle, their employers, agents, associates and any other person indirectly in the employ or service of Airport Shuttle will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, accident, death, delay or inconvenience to any person or their belongings. Airport Shuttle reserves the right to refuse to undertake the conveyance of any passengers.
39. There will be no refunds or compensation for entertainment or air-conditioning system failure on our shuttle services.
40. If any passenger fails to join a transfer no refund or rebate will be made.

43. All changes on bookings are subject to availability.
Luggage
44. Passengers are allowed to take onto a service one medium sized suitcase or rucksack, and one small item of ‘hand luggage’ with exception of a passenger with a wheelchair (must be conveyed to booking agent at time of booking). We shall have no obligation to carry luggage in excess of the permitted amount (as per standard airline regulations).
45. Passengers should carry their own personal luggage to the vehicle’s luggage compartment. Unaccompanied luggage will not be carried for safety reasons.
46. Airport Shuttle carries no responsibility for loss or damage to a passenger’s luggage or personal belongings. We recommend that you take out travel insurance from a reputable insurer against all usual and normal risks of loss or damage.
47. Airport Shuttle will not be held liable for any incidents whatsoever, to your personal items or luggage.
Health and Safety
48. The driver has the right to refuse any client who in his/her opinion is a danger to the driver, vehicle or the other passengers.
49. In the interest of health and safety, Airport Shuttle reserves the right to refuse admission to any of our services where it may hinder the health and safety of fellow passengers.
50. Smoking and the consumption of alcoholic beverages, or excessive intoxication by use of alcohol or drugs is not permitted on our shuttle services under any circumstances and passengers will be refused boarding at the sole discretion of the driver. In the event of the passenger being refused boarding, the passenger will forfeit any right to a refund or compensation. Note that any open alcoholic beverages are forbidden by law in any vehicle.
51. You will be held fully responsible for valet and / or repair fees should you / your clients sully or damage our vehicles.
52. No animals will be carried on Airport Shuttle with exception of trained guide dogs accompanying a visually impaired passenger.
53. Airport Shuttle will not be obliged to carry any child under the age of 13 years unless that child is accompanied by a responsible adult.
54. Airport Shuttle is committed to passenger safety. Each vehicle is insured with passenger liability insurance. We only employ drivers that have been issued a Professional Driving Permit (PDP), which is obtained after they pass a medical examination and once a police clearance certificate has been issued. Our vehicles are maintained to high specification and are inspected daily by management to ensure your safety.
Privacy
55. We completely respect your privacy at Airport Shuttle and shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).

57. We will never sell, rent or give away your name, email or address to anyone – ever. We will use your email address only to communicate with you about your orders and information from Airport Shuttle.
58. Please note that if you register as a customer, your details will be kept in a secure database for use the next time you book with us.
59. However, this information is exclusively used for the handling of your orders and for your added convenience. It will never be sold, rented or given away to a third party.
Other
60. Travel routes are decided at the sole discretion of the driver. Suggestions are welcome, but the driver will decide on the final route, and no discussion to the contrary will be entered into.
61. We wish to re-iterate that as much as we pride ourselves on our reliability and punctuality, unforeseen circumstances may delay or cancel our service without prior notice. Airport Shuttle, their employers, agents, associates and any other person indirectly in the employ or service of Airport Shuttle will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, accident, death, delay or inconvenience to any person or their belongings. Airport Shuttle reserves the right to refuse to undertake the conveyance of any passengers.
62. Our call centre is open from 06h00 to 18h00 daily (+27 87 195 1050), however our service operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Should your booking be outside of our call centre hours, our 24/7 cell phone number are always staffed in case of an emergency (+27 76 858 4876).
